VPZ is the winner in 4 categories at the WorldStar Packaging Awards 2018
The WorldStar Packaging Award in the food packaging category – for our wood-based Packnatur® cellulose tube netting made from Lenzing™ Modal Color, together with the matching Packnatur® organic wineglass labels,
the Sustainability Award in silver,
the President’s Award in bronze,
the Lifetime Achievement in Packaging Award for company founder Helmut Meininger.
The awards were presented to Susanne and Helmut Meininger at the ceremonious gala that was held on 2 May 2018 on Australia’s Gold Coast. Some words of Ms and Mr. Meininger are enclosed for your information.

Lifetime Achievement in Packaging Award
The judges, from all over the world, elected: Miklos Galli from Hungary, Professor Harry Lovell from Australia, Professor Lars G Wallentin from Switzerland and Helmut Meininger from Austria.“The Lifetime Achievement in Packaging Award was established with the aim of acknowledging and rewarding excellence in all aspects of packaging science, technology, design and application across every country around the world”, explains Pierre Pienaar, WPO President. And adds: “The discipline of packaging is one that is truly global. The World Packaging Organisation is in a unique position to identify leading practitioners from around the world who have consistently pushed the boundaries in advancing the art, science and application of packaging to serve the needs of an ever more demanding society.
