Packnatur® Pop-up Bag awarded with Green Packaging Star Award 2021
The fact that less is often more is proven by the presentation of the Green Packaging Star Award 2021 for our Packnatur® beechwood-based Pop-up Bags. Less use of resources and more carrying volume characterise this carrier bag format in the form of a shopping net.
With the development of a shopping net made of LENZING™ Modal beechwood cellulose fibre from the thinning of domestic forests, VPZ can now also present an ecological carrier bag variant that is practical, durable and can be returned to the natural cycle at the end of its life.
With the opening of its own Packnatur factory in Neudau in Styria (Austria) in 2019, a competence centre for textile packaging was also established at the same time, which is responsible for innovations relating to beechwood-based textile packaging, such as the new shopping net, the Packnatur® Pop-up Bag. A flexible network of designers, textile engineers and craftsmen enables the rapid development and realisation of modern, resource-saving, sustainable and high-quality packaging products.
The Packnatur® Pop-up Bag was launched at INTERSPAR, the market leader in the hypermarket sector. INTERSPAR is Austria’s growth leader in the hypermarket sector, operates 74 INTERSPAR locations and employs around 10,000 people.
